Questions We
Hear Often
Find the answers to our most common questions regarding insurance, surgical procedures, and our on-site optical shop. We want you to feel fully informed and confident about your care before you even walk through our doors.
Am I a good candidate for LASIK?
Generally, the best candidates for LASIK are at least 18 years old, have a stable vision prescription for at least one year, and have healthy corneas. During a consultation at Dublin Eye Associates, we use advanced mapping technology to measure your corneal thickness and shape. If LASIK isn’t the right fit for you, our doctors also specialize in alternatives like PRK or Refractive Lens Exchange, ensuring everyone has a path to clearer vision.
01
Do you accept my insurance?
We accept most major medical insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, United Healthcare, and Medicare. We are also proud to accept Medicaid for many of our services. Because insurance plans change frequently, we recommend calling our office at (478) 272-5933 before your appointment. Our team will be happy to verify your specific coverage and help you understand your benefits.
02
How often do I need a comprehensive eye exam?
For most adults, a comprehensive eye exam is recommended every one to two years depending on age, risk factors, and whether you currently wear corrective lenses. However, if you have underlying conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure, our doctors may suggest more frequent visits to monitor your retinal health. At Dublin Eye Associates, we use advanced diagnostic technology to ensure your prescription is precise and your eyes are healthy.

Our Story
Dublin Eye Associates began as a local vision clinic with a simple mission: to ensure the residents of Laurens County could access high-quality eye care without traveling to Atlanta or Macon. Founded by a team of doctors who saw a deep need for advanced surgical options in Middle Georgia, the practice has grown into a comprehensive medical and surgical hub. Throughout our history, we have remained rooted in a "mission mentality"—striving to put our patients' needs above all else and providing compassionate care to the glory of Jesus.
Today, Dublin Eye Associates stands as a cornerstone of the regional medical community, balancing cutting-edge innovation with the personalized touch of a family practice. By bringing together skilled ophthalmologists, optometrists, and a premier on-site optical shop, we offer a "one-stop" destination for everything from a child’s first pair of glasses to complex, sight-saving procedures. We believe that every patient is a neighbor, and we are honored to continue protecting the vision of our community with a spirit of service and excellence.
As we look toward the future, our focus remains on expanding our capabilities while never losing sight of the individual lives we touch. We continue to invest in the next generation of diagnostic and surgical technology, ensuring that our patients have access to the most advanced treatments available in modern medicine. Whether we are welcoming a new face to our optical shop or performing a delicate procedure in our surgical suite, we do so with a renewed commitment to the values that started it all. It is our greatest privilege to serve as the guardians of your vision, providing excellence in eye care that honors our heritage and serves our community with faith and purpose.
