What We Cover
-
Eyeglasses
Eyeglasses are customized to your specific lifestyle, offering a wide range of designer frames paired with advanced lens technologies like anti-reflective coatings and blue-light protection. Whether you need single-vision, bifocal, or seamless progressive lenses, our optical experts ensure a precise fit for both optimal clarity and personal style.
-
Prescription Sunglasses
Combining your specific corrective needs with high-quality UV protection, prescription sunglasses ensure crisp vision and eye safety in bright outdoor conditions. Available in a variety of styles and tints, they eliminate the need for clip-ons or fit-overs while significantly reducing glare and eye strain.
-
Contact Lenses and Fittings
The fitting of contact lenses involves specialized measurements of your eye's curvature and a tear film evaluation to ensure your lenses are comfortable and safe for long-term wear. Our experts provide personalized fittings for a variety of needs, including daily disposables, toric, multifocal, and specialty contact lenses. We also provide training for patients who are new to contacts, and need help learning to insert and remove their contacts safely.
-
Designer Eyewear
Our optical shop features a curated selection of premium frames from iconic fashion houses and independent labels, blending high-end craftsmanship with modern trends. These collections offer durable, high-quality materials and unique silhouettes, allowing you to express your personal style while enjoying a precision-engineered fit.
-
Specialty Contact Lenses
Speciality contact lenses are custom-designed for "hard-to-fit" eyes or complex conditions such as keratoconus, severe astigmatism, and corneal irregularities. These advanced options, including scleral and gas-permeable lenses, provide superior visual clarity and comfort when standard soft lenses are not an effective solution.

Frequently Asked
Questions
-
Most custom prescriptions are completed and ready for pickup within seven to ten business days. This timeframe ensures our lab can precisely craft your lenses and apply any specialized coatings, such as anti-reflective or blue-light protection, to our high standards.
-
A glasses prescription is different from a contact lens prescription because it doesn't include the specific brand, base curve, and diameter measurements needed for a lens that sits directly on the eye. A separate contact lens evaluation and fitting are required to ensure the lenses provide clear vision and maintain the health of your cornea.
-
While we do not participate in vision-only insurance networks, many of our patients choose to shop with us because we offer specialized lens technology- including premium anti-glare and digital progressives- that standard vision plans often restrict.
How it works: You can pay for your eyewear directly and we will provide you with a detailed, itemized receipt. Most vision plans allow you to submit this for “Out-of-Network” reimbursement, which often covers a significant portion of your purchase. We also welcome the use of HSA and FSA cards for all prescription eyewear and sunglasses!

For most adults, a comprehensive eye exam is recommended every one to two years depending on age, risk factors, and whether you currently wear corrective lenses. However, if you have underlying conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure, our doctors may suggest more frequent visits to monitor your retinal health. At Dublin Eye Associates, we use advanced diagnostic technology to ensure your prescription is precise and your eyes are healthy.
